In the Podcast we talk about Elf on the Shelf, which we mentioned being relatively new. After editing this episode and looking into it, turns out the book was published in 2005. Making this year the 20th anniversary of Elf on the Shelf. This is absolutely crazy to me. That means that there is a max of 2 generations of Elf on the Shelf fans, and that second generation are YOUNG. I thought relatively new as in like the mid 90s or something, which is still new but not like Post 9/11. Although in typing this it actually makes a lot of sense that this NSA elf toy becomes popular in the second half of Ol' Dubbleya's 8 years. Anyway, if you are a family that loves this silly little elf all power to you. We have a friend of the show actually that was recently peer pressured by a different parent to make sure that they have an Elf on the Shelf because if they didn't have one then their kid would think they weren't special enough to be spied on by Santa, or worse the other persons kid would realize that this family doesn't need to be spied on and that means they were extra bad or maybe start not believing. Okay so two jokes I would like to dive in on from this episode and ruin with math, the first being Juliann asking Santa for 1 percent of the 1 percents net worth for Christmas. I did the math for just the number one richest person Elon Musk who at time of recording hasn’t officially received his 1 Trillion guarantee in stocks from Tesla, so he’s only working with 500 Billion Dollars, so just 1 percent from only him is giving Juliann 5 Billion American Dollars, placing her in the 1 percent. The second joke is the idea Jessica had that would be a Non-Profit Casino where the proceeds go to charity, so I looked into the estimated revenue that the now Defunct Circus Circus in Las Vegas made annually, and it was roughly 160 Million a Year, which is pretty close to the amount that Elon Musk donates in a year. Which does seem like a lot, but I will say that with his making about 100 Billion a year in Stock that’s him donating 0.0016% of what he makes a year, which is like someone who is making 50k a year donating 80 dollars, which is for both examples about 4 working hours a year going towards charity, and every little bit helps so we encourage you to donate to a cause that matters to you!

I really do like doing PSA’s for a couple reasons, the first is because I love the game and I love the joke of the audience not being able to see what we’re talking about, and the second is because it would be unlistenable to do a whole episode that is just a PSA, the second half of the episode is always just us rambling with barely any direction.

One thing that we didn't talk about in the podcast was that a lot of the times Jeffrey would reach out to get an update or even go in person and get an update, and then on the rare occasion they would actually respond he would ask something like "And just for how to improve myself how did you get this job" and they would always say a family member got them the job. Yes even the guy who told him to get a masters degree in literally anything said they didn't have a masters, their dad was a manager.

Do you guys think Nicki Minaj has ever been to an Antique Store? Like probably not but I don't know. Maybe she's really into that sort of thing. You hear those people talk about how "You'd have more money if you spent your money better" right, like that maybe don't buy avocado toast and you can afford a house, but I don't think any of those people have set foot in an Antique Store. Okay MAYBE an antique store, but almost certainly not a Thrift Store. I just think a lot about that Bo Burnham quote he said on Conan about how taking advice from these stars is like when someone who wins the lottery gives you the advice of liquidizing your assets and go all in on Powerball. Anyway, Nicki I know you love reading the descriptions on our podcast episodes so I guess my one tip for you is to go to therapy, not in a I'm Judging You way because frankly I do not keep up with you and definitely not your personal life, but because I think everyone should try it and you have the money to so why not.
