As relationships grow, sexual consent seems less of an issue in healthy relationships. But in today's episode, I wanna make the case that even in the healthiest of relationships it is important for you to be building a mindset around consent for any level of intimacy. All longterm couples will go through various stages of life. These stages of life will bring about different levels of stress. As important a sexual connection is not always will the original level of consent stay true. If you two can keep an eye open for the changes in your relationship, you will always be able to adapt to the new levels of consent needed to enjoy intimacy harmoniously.

For today's book review, we got a book on more developmental, historical, family patterns. The book goes into ways that history, genetics and extended family history really can be at the core piece to the psychological welfare of people living now. I really enjoyed this book because I like exploring 'reparenting' as a skill to be used in couples as well as individual therapy because all of us have scars, but some of these scars don't start with us. This book talks to a lot of that concept and is well worth a read if you are interested in discovering where your scars come from. Especially if you don't feel they started with you.

I think it's important that everyone reads or at least is working on bettering themselves. Education is the best way to do just that. This book today is a great one for anyone who has a male in their life and they want to make more sense of what they think or feel and why.

Communication is one of the cornerstones of a positive relationship with anyone romantic or otherwise. However, I don't think enough people really think about how they talk to their adult counterparts. Because even though they have the body of an adult that does not mean they don't feel or get hurt by words, just like children do.
