Death - perhaps the only thing that's certain and ever will be. But it doesn't have to be a bad thing. In this episode, we dive deep into how death makes life more meaningful, Stoic teachings around death and why Steve Jobs reflected on death everyday.
I was recently bombarded with multiple things to do. After some experimentation, I came up with a system to make consistent progress with different projects simultaneously. Although I'm still learning to stick to it, I can tell you one thing - it works. With a little experimentation, maybe you can come up with something of your own.

I'd strongly recommend checking out "Rise and Shine" to get some background on circadian rhythms!
If you struggle with sleeping on time, I've recorded this for you. Going back to the fundamentals of assigning dedicated spaces to activities, I share how the association of activities with spaces makes it easy for your brain to tune in and out of those modes. We also dive a little bit into caffeine, sunlight and exercise. Finally, the most major roadblock of all - thoughts in your head.

Last year, when the world went in quarantine, there were a lot of articles that came up describing how to take care of your mental health. Ironically, I never felt the need to go through them. This year, however, it's different. In India, as the second wave stares at us in the face, our medical infrastructure is stressed more than ever, and the lock down has restricted my physical interactions (for good reason), I feel blue. Turns out, so do a lot of other people. If you're one of them, I've recorded this episode for you.

Decision Fatigue is the phenomenon that refers to the deteriorating quality of decision making after a long session of decision making. Do you know why Mark Zuckerberg wears the same clothes everyday? If you think of willpower as a resource, you can drain all of it making decisions. Listen to this episode to learn how to optimize your decision making skills to effectively use your willpower!

If you're in a situation where all you can do is obsess about what went wrong, this episode is for you. Building on the insights of one of my favorite authors, Dale Carnegie, I decided to record this episode incorporating his work with it. Whether you're facing a legitimate problem or if it feels like the end of the world because of that argument with your friend, I've recommended ways to work around the issue. I don't claim that this will solve all your problems, but I'm hopeful that it'll help you work out on how to solve them yourself.
If this worked for you, I'd love to hear about it!
You can define priming as "conditioning your mind into the right state through deliberate actions". I've been experimenting with priming before workouts and every morning. Morning priming is a little deep and introspective, here's how it works:
1. Gratitude - 1 person, 1 incident and 1 resource
2. Focus on death - the big picture
3. Goals and WHY
4. Todo List
5. "What can I get excited about today?"
6. "What do I want to feel today?"
7. "Which weakness do I want to work on today?"
Biju Sukumaran (IG: @scienceofselfhelp) is a self-help blogger at scienceofselfhelp.org and his blog is a series of data-driven experiments he conducts on himself, plus a ton of scientific research. He's created a unified theory for self help called the Elements of Change. Before this, he was a travel journalist and his stories have been featured in Esquire, Vogue, Nat Geo and CNN. We dive deep into self-experimentation, the science of habit formation and deformation, and some really interesting research being done with productivity.

In this episode, I dive a little into how social media has evolved and how being mindful of your usage and the way you use it plays a major role in keeping you connected.
