「She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.」 Amen.
Proverbs 31 is “The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:” so it describes how we should be as kings, as human beings, and as husbands. In verse 27, it says that a wife should “She watches over the ways of her household,And does not eat the bread of idleness.” It is difficult for a wife to do all this on her own, but she must ask the Lord for help,But if we ask the Lord for help and pray for it, it will be accomplished in peace.
May we ask the Lord for help today....

『家の者の様子をよく見守り、
怠惰のパンを食べない。』
箴言３１章は、「マサの王レムエルが母から受けた戒めのことば」と、ありますから、王として、人間として、夫として、どうあるべきかが書かれています。そして、「しっかりした妻」はこうあるべきだと書かれています。２７節では、妻は、「家の者の様子をよく見守り、怠惰な生活はしない」と書かれています。ここまでこなすには自分の力ではなかなか難しいのですが、主により頼み、
祈りながらすると平安のうちに成就することと思います。
今日も、主をより頼む事ができますように・・・。
『2:42 彼らはいつも、使徒たちの教えを守り、交わりを持ち、パンを裂き、祈りをしていた。
2:43 すべての人に恐れが生じ、使徒たちによって多くの不思議としるしが行われていた。
2:44 信者となった人々はみな一つになって、一切の物を共有し、
2:45 財産や所有物を売っては、それぞれの必要に応じて、皆に分配していた。
2:46 そして、毎日心を一つにして宮に集まり、家々でパンを裂き、喜びと真心をもって食事をともにし、2:47 神を賛美し、民全体から好意を持たれていた。主は毎日、救われる人々を加えて一つにしてくださった。』
この新しい年に、新しい心で、新しい計画を持って、進んでいきましょう。エレミヤは語りました。「エレ29:11 わたし自身、あなたがたのために立てている計画をよく知っている──【主】のことば──。それはわざわいではなく平安を与える計画であり、あなたがたに将来と希望を与えるためのものだ。」
「エレ33:3 『わたしを呼べ。そうすれば、わたしはあなたに答え、あなたが知らない理解を超えた大いなることを、あなたに告げよう。』
お祈りしましょう。
愛する天の父なる神様、今朝私たちは神様の御言葉をあなたからいただきました。この時間もこうしてシェアしながら皆さんとともに今年1年新しい2026年の年が豊かに祝福されますように願ってまいります。一人ひとりにどうぞ主が働いて、神のご栄光が現れますように、特に、今年1年間は神様にはおできにならないことがないんだ。必ずすべてをすることがおできになるんだという信仰を通し、私たちは歩んでまいります。どうぞ、祝福してください。私たちの新しいビジョンを持たせてください。新しいビジョンを夢を与えてくださいますように、年齢がどうであれ、関係なく、神様、私たちに新しいビジョン、夢をくださる神様、神様と共に歩む私たちとなりますようにキリストイエスのお名前によりお祈りいたします。アーメン。
『知恵をもって口を開き、
その舌には恵みのおしえがある。』
心の中に思いが湧きあがり、口から言葉が出て、それが行動となり、習慣となり、人格となるのです。だから、心の中に何が湧きあがるかが大事な事です。イエス様はこのように言われました。(ヨハネ書4:14)「しかし、わたしが与える水を飲む人は、いつまでも決して渇くことがありません。わたしが与える水は、その人の内で泉となり、永遠のいのちへの水が湧き出ます。」イエス様へと繋がることこそが本当の知恵なのです。
今日も、主への知恵が与えられますように・・・。
「She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.」 Amen.
Thoughts well up in the mind, words come out of the mouth, and these become actions, habits, and personalities. Therefore, what wells up in our hearts is what is important. Jesus said this. (John 4:14) “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” Connecting to Jesus is true wisdom.
May we be given wisdom to the Lord today....

『力と気品をまとい、
ほほえみながら後の日を待つ。』
妻がどのような態度をとるか、ここでは力と気品をあげています。気品は分かりますが、力は男性のものと思うのは、私の偏見でしょうか。でも、家庭でのリーダーとして妻が立つ為には、威厳が必要、人を引っ張る力が必要なのだと思います。家庭がうまくおさまれば、夫にとっても威厳が保たれ、夫の周りもうまく働き、すべてが良き方向に動くのです。(第一テモテ2:2-3)「それは、私たちがいつも敬虔で品位を保ち、平安で落ち着いた生活を送るためです。そのような祈りは、私たちの救い主である神の御前において良いことであり、喜ばれることです。」
今日も、主の平安の中で過すことができますように・・・。
「Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.」 Amen.
I am giving power and grace here as to what kind of attitude a wife should have. I understand grace, but am I biased to think that power belongs to men? But I think that in order for a wife to be a leader in the home, she needs to have dignity and the ability to lead others. When the family is well settled, dignity is maintained for the husband, the husband's surroundings work well, and everything moves in the right direction. (1 Timothy 2:2-3) “for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,”

【箴言 31:23】
『夫は町囲みの中で人々によく知られ、
土地の長老たちとともに座に着く。』
夫が住んでいる町は、町囲み、すなわち町を取り囲む城壁があり、町の入り口には門があり、そこに長老が座に着いていました。そこで、裁判をしたり、行政の為の相談をしたりしていたようです。夫は町の人々によく知られ、信用もあったので、長老として重んじられていたようです。その妻としてどんなふうに過ごすのかを縷々書いています。お互いに信頼し合い、大切にしていれば、自ずと幸せな道が開けてくるのです。
今日も、主に信頼を寄せることができますように・・・。

【Proverbs 31:23】
「Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.」 Amen.
The town where my husband lived had a town enclosure, or wall surrounding the town, with a gate at the entrance to the town, where the elders sat. There, they held court and consulted with each other for administrative matters. Her husband was well known and trusted by the people of the town, so he was highly respected as an elder. She describes in detail how she would spend her time as his wife. If we trust each other and take good care of each other, a happy path will naturally open up.
May we put our trust in the Lord today as well...

「She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.」 Amen.
Proverbs 31 shows us that a wonderful wife is a treasure and her deeds. Here it says that she reaches out to the afflicted and the poor. The subject of Millet's “Gleanings” was the Book of Lutz, where he intentionally dropped a lot of fruit at harvest time for the poor. This was because of a provision in Deuteronomy. The actions of a wonderful wife must have come naturally to her. It's New Year's Eve. I'm grateful that I've been protected again this year.

貧しい人に手を差し伸べる。』
箴言３１章では、素晴らしい妻は宝であり、その行いを示しています。ここでは、苦しむ人や貧しい人に手を差し伸べると書かれています。ミレーの「落穂ひろい」の題材になったのは、ルツ記でしたが、そこでは、貧しい人々の為に、収穫の時にわざと多くの実を落とすようにしていたそうです。それは、申命記の規定からくるものでした。素晴らしい妻の行いには、自ずと身に備わっていたのでしょう。大晦日となりました。今年も守られたことに感謝です。
今年も最後まで、主に寄り添うことができますように・・・。
「She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.」 Amen.
Verses 13 through 19 depict a wife who serves with joy. The image of a wife working hard is a common sight at the end of the year. The scene of a family moving to the next scene comes to mind when the wife says a few words, such as cleaning up, replacing shoji paper screens, pickling pickles, etc. But this is not so common these days. However, this is not seen so often these days. A good and wonderful wife is truly the CEO of the family.
May we entrust everything to the Lord today....

『羊毛や亜麻を手に入れ、
喜んで自分の手でそれを仕上げる。』
１３節から１９節までは喜んで仕える妻の姿が描かれています。甲斐甲斐しく働く妻の姿は、年末のこの時期には良く見かけられた風景でもあります。大掃除、障子の張替、漬物の漬けこみ等々妻の一言で家族が動くという場面が絵に浮かんできます。でも、それは最近ではあまり見られなくなってきました。素晴らしい良き妻の姿は、まさに家庭の最高経営責任者なのです。
今日も、主にすべてを委ねることができますように・・・。
「Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.」 Amen.
It is written that a strong wife is more precious than pearls. It is true that if a man has a strong wife, his life will be richer. You can either find such a wife yourself or have someone else find her for you. Sometimes there is such a thing as a “pushover wife,” but putting that aside, what should we do to become a strong wife? It is something we are born with, and this is a gift of God. She becomes important and precious by being cherished by her husband. And most importantly, she becomes a wonderful wife when she loves and fears God and receives His love.
Today, may we love, fear, and receive God's love....

『しっかりした妻をだれが見つけられるだろう。
彼女の値打ちは真珠よりもはるかに尊い。』
しっかりした妻は真珠よりも尊い値打ちがあると書かれています。確かに妻がしっかりしているとその人の人生は豊かなものとなっている事でしょう。そんな妻を自分で見つけるか他人に見つけてもらうかのいずれかです。時として「押しかけ女房」というものもありますが、それは置いとくとして、しっかりとした妻になる為にはどうしたらいいのでしょう。生まれつきのもの、これは神の賜物ですね。夫に大事にされることによって大切な尊い存在となってゆく。そして、一番大事なのは、神を愛し、畏れ、神の愛を戴くその時に、素晴らしい妻となるのではないでしょうか。
今日も、神を愛し、畏れ、神の愛を戴く者となりますように・・・。
「Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.」 Amen.
To Lemuel, king of Massah, his mother gave words of admonition. It was not to spend power on women, not to indulge in alcohol, and, in today's passage, to have compassion for the weak and the poor and to play politics to help them. Whether they are men or women, rich or poor, if you treat them well, they will become important. Jesus loved and cared for me, a miserable, poor, and unaccomplished person. That is why I am alive today.
May I thank the Lord for His love today....

『口を開いて、正しくさばき、
苦しむ人や貧しい人のためにさばきを行いなさい。』
マサの王レムエルにその母は、戒めの言葉を述べられました。それは、女に力を費やすな、お酒に溺れるな、そして、今日の箇所で、弱い人や貧しい人への思いやりと彼らを助ける政治をしなさいということでした。男であろうと女であろうと、富んだ人であろうと貧しい人であろうと、大切に扱えば大切な人となっていくのです。イエス様は、惨めで貧しく、何の功しもない、この私を愛し、大切に扱ってくださいました。だから、今、生かされているのです。
今日も、主の愛に感謝できますように・・・。
『レムエルよ、これは王がすることではない。
ぶどう酒を飲むのは王がすることではない。
強い酒を飲むのは君主がすることではない。』
レムエル王への母の言葉です。国のトップに立つ人は酒に溺れてはいけないし、肉欲にも溺れてはいけないし、お金にも溺れてもいけないのです。でも、それらの誘惑は一般の人よりも多い事と思います。誰かが諫言しないと流されてしまいます。母親の諫言が一番良いのかも知れません。イエス様は、十字架上で苦痛に耐え、葡萄酒も否み、私たちの身代わりとなって死に渡されました。ここに、主の主、王の王、救い主としての姿があったのです。
「It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
It is not for kings to drink wine,
Nor for princes intoxicating drink;」 Amen.
These are the words of my mother to King Lemuel. A person at the head of a nation should not be addicted to alcohol, nor to lust, nor to money. But these temptations are more common than for the average person. If someone does not admonish them, they will be swept away. A mother's admonition may be the best. Jesus endured pain on the cross, denied wine, and died as our substitute. Here was the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, and Savior of the world.
May we keep the cross of the Lord in our hearts today....

「150:1 ハレルヤ。神の聖所で、神をほめたたえよ。御 力の大空で、神をほめたたえよ。
150:2 その大能のみわざのゆえに、神をほめたたえよ。そのすぐれた偉大さのゆえに、神をほめたたえよ。150:3 角笛を吹き鳴らして、神をほめたたえよ。十弦の琴と立琴をかなでて、神をほめたたえよ。150:4 タンバリンと踊りをもって、神をほめたたえよ。緒琴と笛とで、神をほめたたえよ。150:5 音の高いシンバルで、神をほめたたえよ。鳴り響くシンバルで、神をほめたたえよ。150:6 息のあるものはみな、主をほめたたえよ。ハレルヤ。」
このように、神様をほめたたえるには、自分が持っているものすべてでほめたたえなければなりません。その為には、自分の心を整えていかなければなりません。御霊の実を自分の心の中にたくさん実らせなければならないのです。愛・喜び・平安・寛容・親切・善意・誠実・柔和・自制、この９つの御霊の実を実らせなければならないのです。そのためには、いつも喜び、絶えず祈り、すべての事に感謝しなさいという心が必要なのです。そうすると、神様の祝福が与えられるのです。
お祈りします。
愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。いつも喜べ、絶えず祈れ、すべての事に感謝せよということを改めて学ばせていただきありがとうございます。愛・喜び・平安・寛容・親切・善意・誠実・柔和・自制という９つの御霊の実が私たちの心の中にたわわに実りますように助けて下さい。今、悩みの中にある人には、解決のみことばを、今、病の中にある人には、癒しのみことばを、今、迷いの中にあるひとには、道しるべとなるみことばをお与えください。ここに集うおひとりおひとりのうちにイエス様が共にいてくださり、平安を注いでくださいますように、主イエス・キリストのみ名によってお祈り致します。 アーメン。
