In today’s CIFF Media episode, Julian Daynov sits down with Carsten Holm, Founder of the Danish shoe brand WODEN. WODEN is a Scandinavian brand that stands for Works of Denmark with a focus on Scandinavian design values, natural quality materials and great value for money.
Since its founding in 2013, the brand has been returning to CIFF, where it has found a strong alignment of values. Shared values have also guided WODEN’s choice of ambassador, selecting Danish model Josephine Skriver as the face of the brand.
Ahead of Copenhagen Fashion Week in January, we invited Anne Lose, Editor-in-Chief at Eurowoman, and Uffe Buchard, Founder and Creative Director at Darling Creative Studio, for a sit-down with CIFF Director Sofie Dolva. Reflecting on the colours, runways, surprises, and special events of the past season, they share their thoughts on what to expect for the upcoming this January – including the CIFF x 10 Corso Como collaboration and a closer look into the idea behind CIFF Super and how it will unfold in the halls of Bella Center, or in Uffe’s own words: “the Danish answer to the Centre Pompidou.”

Creative talent can be a driving force, but the path from vision to a stable livelihood requires more than just good ideas. That’s exactly what we discuss with Ane Lynge Jorlén, CEO of Alpha, and Mie Ejdrup Stokholm, CEO of Cecilie Bahnsen, in today’s episode of CIFF Media x Fashion Forum. Two CEOs with unique perspectives on developing and scaling creative talent. At ALPHA, Ane and her team nurture new talent in its early stages, while Mie leads a brand that has grown out of exceptional creative talent.

The list of Vernon Sport collaborations is long, and this season they’re back with yet another exciting project, building on their love for heritage brands: a partnership with the iconic Danish shoe brand Kawasaki.
In this episode of Fashion Forum x CIFF Media, we dive into the world of fashion investments and what it takes to spot a brand’s true potential. Host Carla Christine Aagaard-Strube is joined by Christoffer Martinsen-Kønigsfeldt – part of the family-owned company Friheden Invest, CEO of Tiger of Sweden, Chairman of the Board at By Malene Birger, and Board Member at ARKK Copenhagen.
With years of experience working across both emerging and established brands, Christoffer shares what makes him invest in a company, how to strike the right balance between creativity and finance, and his thoughts on where Danish and Scandinavian fashion is headed next.
In this episode, we are joined by Benjamin Lega, Creative Director at Nikben, and Gonzalo Catalán, Founder and CEO at Pica Pica – two Swedish brands that make you forget everything about minimalism and the clean, straight lines Scandinavian design is known for. Nikben is edgy and fun, merging resort and streetwear with a hint of western, while Pica Pica blends Swedish control and structure with Mediterranean chaos – all wrapped in a sun-kissed, colorful vibe. That same energy they brought to CIFF in August – Nikben had frozen margaritas and a tattoo artist, while Pica Pica stood out with their vibrant, eye-catching setup in the Centre Hall.
How can Scandinavian brands enter the US market? This is what we explore in the latest CIFF Media episode, where Kate is joined by Chris Corrado, Founder of Plus Plus Agency, Jian DeLeon, Head of Men’s Fashion at Nordstrom, and Eric Asence, Buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue. All based in New York and with years of experience in the American fashion industry – both from a retail and sales perspective.
Forget all about chasing a trend – stay consistent in your brand aesthetic and messaging, create real human relations to all stakeholders, and build on your brand awareness through strong, authentic brand activations – both offline and online. Like NN.07 getting their Gael jacket on Jeremy Allen White in The Bear, Palmes creating an authentic tennis community on social media or having a strong showroom setup like Séfr.
Just like it is crucial to remember that a LA or New York customer is not a microcosm for the rest of the US.
In today’s episode we are joined by VOCAST Co-Founder Jens Hamborg Koefoed. VOCAST started as a response to the emergence of social media, which transformed the medialandscape. Suddenly, everyone had direct access to a global community – a new condition which created a demand for content being unique and authentic, as everyone could reach everyone at no coast. It was no longer money that drove brands recognition and growth – the new valuta was the uniqueness of content and the power of core storytelling.
Today the two Founders Jens and Henrik Steen Madsen count brands from 11 countries using VOCAST to convey their stories in images, videos and words to a global audience by giving them access to brand content and digital showrooms. Clients include fashion brands like Rotate, By Malene Birger, Samsøe Samsøe, Mads Nørgaard, Holzweiler, Aiayu, Filippa K, Rodebjer, Chimi, Dea Kudibal, Ganni, House of Dagmar, and hundred others on the global market.
In today’s episode we are joined by Tamaris’ Sales Director, Felix Schmalenberger, and Country Manager, Claus Egesborg, who is also a long-time resident in CIFF Village. Tamaris is the market leader for fashionable women’s shoes across Europe, offering affordable fashion for women – right now on the way to develop as a lifestyle brand.
For a few years now Tamaris has had a showroom in CIFF Village, open for all buyers to drop in and see the collections all year round – this space functions as Tamaris’ fashion hotspot in the Nordics.
The showroom is also where Country Manager, Claus Egesborg, has his daily office. Being a part of a community is a big plus when you work as an agent, as he gets that communal feeling from the other brands who are there each day.
On day two of CIFF, Fashion Consultant Nick Wooster and Brand Consultant Josh Peskowitz joined Kate Cervini in the CIFF Media studio for a debrief of SS26 from a menswear perspective. Besides reaffirming Nick Wooster's status as a super man, they question if trends can even exist in 2025 or if doing something that actual matters is the only way to go? And if so, who are the ones that will benefit from this? Among their menswear highlights at CIFF in August, were Applied Art Forms, Molebo, Berner Kühl and Adnym – not to forget Nikben who gave Nick Wooster an everlasting highlight.
A record number of buyers at CIFF and a packed show calendar for Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26 – that was what unfolded at the August fashion week in Copenhagen. But what does it take to make it all happen, and what expectations does it create for the industry? Today, we discuss this with Sofie Dolva, Director of CIFF, and Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week.

OFF THE RACK is our latest add on to CIFF Media where creative force, brand strategist and CIFF chosen family Julian Daynov sits down for a chat with the most inspiring voices across the industry.
In this episode Julian takes us into the heart of Berlin’s vibrant streetwear scene represented by the two Founders of PROHIBITED Patrick Reimann and Philip Krause – one of the most talked-about emerging brands redefining edge, laid-back coolness, and authentic energy who over few seasons catapulted themselves from the CIFF floor onto the shop floors of some of the world’s most renowned retailers. Born in Berlin, built for the algorithm, worn by the cool – PROHIBITED speaks to a generation that scrolls, shares, and wears their identity out loud in the streets.
Carla Christine Bruus Aagaard-Strube, Editor-in-Chief at Fashion Forum, sat down with Alexander Bach Gram, Creative Director of Molebo, and Chung Wai Cheung, Founder of Woodbird, to talk about their experiences at Pitti Uomo – what it means to them to participate, the energy of being in Florence and how it shaped their journey leading into CIFF next week. Both agree that in a digital age, nothing replaces the importance of physical meetings – the connections made in person are truly what drive their brands forward.
