HOW TO TEACH OUR CHILD TO LEARN TO LOOSE?

Of course, losing is inevitable throughout the course of a lifetime. We all lose at some point.

But loosing is not loosing, it's the way to learn to win.

Here is how we can teach our kids to lose gracefully:   

1. Start young 

2. Don’t let them win (all the time) 

3. Validate their feelings 

4. Embrace a “practice makes you better” mindset 

5. Differentiate between “earning” and “deserving” wins 

6. Avoid using traditional measures of success 

7. Look for lessons 

8. Acknowledge disappointment from losing 

9. Practice good sportsmanship 

10. Be a role model for your child 

11. Talk about luck and chance 

12. Use a growth mindset and focus on effort 

13. Turn losing into an opportunity to reflect and learn 

14. Being a good sport after winning or losing

If you're a parent, grandparent, or teacher, you know the old saying that children are like sponges is true; they tend to soak up everything and every influence around them. Manners need to be taught, shown, and reinforced by parents and other adults who have the authority of them.

Here are some tips to help teach manners to your children:

 • Model manners.  

• Practice at home.  

• Take them out in public.  

• Give him or her the words.  

• Give your youngster positive reinforcement.  

• Be patient.  

• Learn to coach. 

 • Teach table manners.  

• Correct him or her on the spot.  

• Speak well.
