Dit is Een Cursus in Wonderen. Het is een verplichte cursus. Alleen het tijdstip waarop je hem doet staat je vrij. Vrije wil betekent niet dat jij het leerplan kunt vaststellen. Het betekent alleen dat je kunt kiezen wat je op een gegeven moment wilt doen.

De cursus beoogt niet de betekenis van liefde te onderwijzen, want dat gaat wat onderwezen kan worden te boven. Hij beoogt echter wel de blokkades weg te nemen voor het bewustzijn van de aanwezigheid van liefde, die jouw natuurlijk erfgoed is. Het tegendeel van liefde is angst, maar wat allesomvattend is kan geen tegendeel hebben.

Deze cursus kan daarom zeer eenvoudig aldus worden samengevat:
Niets werkelijks kan bedreigd worden.
Niets onwerkelijks bestaat.
Hierin ligt de vrede van God.

Het doel van het werkboek is je geest systematisch te trainen in een andere waarneming van alles en iedereen in de wereld. De oefeningen zijn ontworpen om je te helpen de lessen te veralgemenen, zodat je gaat begrijpen dat ze elk evenzeer toepasbaar zijn op je waarneming van alles en iedereen.

De overdracht van training verloopt bij ware waarneming niet op dezelfde manier als de overdracht van training in de wereld. Als ware waarneming is bereikt met betrekking tot enige persoon, situatie of gebeurtenis, dan staat vast dat ze totaal op alles en iedereen overgaat. Anderzijds maakt één uitzondering, die buiten ware waarneming wordt gehouden, haar verwezenlijking waar dan ook onmogelijk.

De ware aard van ware waarneming is dat ze geen begrenzingen heeft.
Ze is het tegengestelde van de manier waarop je nu ziet.
