Sha Heshang is taciturn, honest and trustworthy.

最具有英雄主义色彩的角色，

The most heroic character

and you can just imitate these casually.

再多说一点，那就不是入门级别了，

Today, the word we’re covering in our "One Word" column is "dān wèi" (unit/organization).

“单位”这个词大概有三个意思，

“dān wèi” | zhè ge | cí | dà gài | yǒu | sān gè | yì si

The word "dān wèi" has about three meanings:

第一，表示工作机构，

dì yī | biǎo shì | gōng zuò | jī gòu

1. Referring to a work organization,

在口语中直接指代 “上班的地方”，

zài | kǒu yǔ | zhōng | zhí jiē | zhǐ dài | “shàng bān | de | dì fang”

and in spoken language, it directly means "the place where one works"—

而且通常是国家机构。

ér qiě | tōng cháng | shì | guó jiā | jī gòu

usually a state-owned or public institution.

我们来看一些例句：

Let’s look at some examples:

我家离单位不远。

My home is not far from my workplace.

For private enterprises, we usually say "gōng sī" (company):

第二，表示计量标准，

For example: unit of length, unit of time.

这个零件的计量单位是毫米。

zhè ge | líng jiàn | de | jì liàng | dān wèi | shì | háo mǐ

The unit of measurement for this part is millimeters.

温度的单位有摄氏度和华氏度两种。

wēn dù | de | dān wèi | yǒu | shè shì dù | hé | huá shì dù | liǎng zhǒng

There are two units of temperature: Celsius and Fahrenheit.

米、千克、秒都是国际标准单位。

mǐ | qiān kè | miǎo | dōu shì | guó jì | biāo zhǔn | dān wèi

Meters, kilograms, and seconds are all international standard units.

电压的基本单位是伏特，电流的单位是安培。

The basic unit of voltage is the volt, and the unit of electric current is the ampere.

第三，表示组成部分。

3. Referring to a component part:

The family is the smallest unit of society.
