The Inner Smile
Meditation Instructions
Welcome to Gratitude Meditations. This recording is here for all of our new listeners. Please follow these guidelines so you may receive the most benefit out of our guided meditations. I want to share an important note when listening to the meditations. As you listen, there will be moments of silence. These quiet intervals are an opportunity for you to focus, visualise, reflect and connect with the ideas we explore together in the meditations. You may do this internally, or you may use pen and paper. Doing this will allow not just the thoughts, but more importantly, the feelings of gratitude and appreciation, to arise within. You should start to feel an inner smile emerging within, as you reflect on the ideas in the meditations. The goal of the practice is to cultivate an inner feeling of appreciation, beyond just surface level thoughts. With consistent practice, you'll start to naturally appreciate everyday blessings as they happen, making gratitude and contentment more automatic and easier to feel internally. If you find it difficult to feel that inner smile of appreciation when listening to the meditations, know that with consistent practice, it will get easier. We can liken it to starting a campfire by rubbing two sticks together. Initially it will take some focused attention and effort rubbing those sticks together, until a small flame starts to emerge. That flame can represent the inner smile, the feeling of gratitude. Once that small flame emerges, with a little more focused attention blowing the flame and adding some wood, the flame will start to grow into a nice warm campfire. It is the same idea when you cultivate the inner feeling of gratitude. Once you start to notice a hint of that inner smile emerging as you reflect on what you appreciate, just continue focusing on what you are grateful for and that inner flame, that inner smile will continue growing. And just like with starting a campfire, it will get easier and quicker the more you practice consistently. I welcome you to pause the meditation recordings if you need more time in silent reflection to cultivate this inner smile, this inner feeling of appreciation. Okay. I will leave you here. Please feel free to explore our collection of meditations and choose one you feel drawn too. Wishing you a day filled with gratitude and love for life. Good Day.

Transportation - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
If you are new to our guided meditations, I encourage you to familiarise yourself with the meditation instructions first by visiting the following link - https://linktr.ee/gratitudemeditations
Today I invite you to cultivate appreciation for one of life's great enhancers. Our abundant access to transportation. We can draw our attention to the most valuable aspect of this gift. Transportation's ability to give us so much more free time in our lives. Whether we are riding a bicycle to work, catching a flight to visit family, or driving our cars to do our daily errands, transportation allows us to do all of this with time to spare. A trip that may take a couple of hours, would likely take days without transportation. We have so much extra space to do other things in our lives. Maybe it is being with loved ones, or pursuing higher goals. Perhaps it's enjoying some quiet time to relax and recharge. Think of a time recently where you used transportation. Now, imagine if walking was your only option in that scenario. Spend a pause now appreciating how much extra time you had that day. What were you able to do with that time? Reflect on this now internally, or you may write it down.
We can draw our attention to how transportation gives us so many opportunities to explore the world. We can enjoy so many different places because of transportation. Maybe it’s a restaurant we love that is a 30 minute drive away. Or maybe it's going on a plane trip to explore a new country. Or it could be exploring an underwater oasis only accessible by boat. Can you think of a time in your life where transportation allowed you to visit a place you love, or discover a new favourite place? Take a moment of silence now to appreciate this internally. Or you may write it down.
Let us expand our focus and cultivate a greater sense of gratitude and love for life. Consider something you appreciate in your life today. What do you love about your life right now? What went right for you today? What aspect of your experience right now do you like? It could be something related to today's theme of transportation. Or, it could be something small, like enjoying the warmth of the sun on a winter's day, or perhaps enjoying a nice conversation with someone. Maybe it is something more significant. Perhaps you recently received something you have always wanted, or maybe someone has helped you in a big way. Spend a moment of silence now to reflect on this internally, or you may write it down.
See if you can bring this state of appreciation with you in your everyday moments. Be present, mindful and undistracted as you experience the moments in your life. See if you can notice the things you love and appreciate as they are happening in the moment.
I will leave you here. Wishing you a day filled with gratitude and love for life. Good Day.

Shoes - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
Today, I invite you to cultivate appreciation for a simple yet essential item we use. The shoes we put on our feet everyday. They are something so basic and often taken for granted, but they make our lives so much better. We can draw our attention to the way shoes provide us with protection. They protect us in so many ways. We could be hiking on rough rocky terrain, or walking on the hot sand at the beach, and our shoes allow us to do this with ease. Perhaps we are in a cold environment and our shoes keep our feet warm and dry, protecting us from frost bite. Can you appreciate a time where shoes helped protect your feet and made things more comfortable for you? I'll give you a moment of silence now to reflect on this internally, or you may write it down.
We can cultivate gratitude for the way shoes enable us to do more in our lives. There are so many things we are able to do because of shoes. We can walk or run further and longer because shoes provide us with comfort, protection and support. We can enjoy the fun of sports that would be hard to play without shoes, maybe it is basketball, or football. We get to go on relaxing walks while looking up and noticing the beauty of our surroundings, all because shoes free us from the need to look down and avoid stepping on things. Can you appreciate a time in your life where your shoes enabled you to do something you love, or made doing something easier? Spend a moment of silence now reflecting on this internally. Or, you may write it down.
Consider something you appreciate in your life today. What do you love about your life right now? What went right for you today? It could be something related to today's theme of shoes. Or, it could be something small, like enjoying a comfortable chair. Or perhaps something more significant. Maybe someone who has helped you in a big way, or maybe you received something that made life better for you. Spend a pause now to reflect on this internally, or you may write it down.
See if you can bring this state of appreciation with you in your everyday moments. Be present, mindful and undistracted as you experience the moments in your life. See if you can notice the things you love and appreciate as they are happening in the moment.

Trees - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
Let us cultivate gratitude for something that is such a prominent feature of our natural environment, the trees. Those majestic structures that dominate the landscape and hold so much beauty. We can appreciate how trees provide us with so much. Be it the oxygen we need to breathe. Or the wood we need to start a fire and build a home. Or, how trees shelter us from the elements, the sun, the rain or the wind. Can you appreciate a time where trees benefited your life in some way? Spend a pause now imagining and reflecting on this internally, or, you may write it down.
We can draw our attention to how trees have the ability to change how we feel. Have you ever spent time in a forest and noticed that you feel more calm and clear during your time there, and afterwards? Or, maybe you've walked into a room with a beautiful view of the trees outside and felt better as you witnessed that. Perhaps you've spent some time sitting under a tree relaxing and you left feeling clearer and calmer. Think of a time in your life where the presence of trees improved how you felt. I'll give you a moment of silence now to reflect on this internally, or, you may write it down.
Consider something you appreciate in your life today. What do you love about your life right now? What went right for you today? It could be something related to today's theme of trees. Or, it could be something small, like enjoying your favourite food. Or perhaps something more significant. Maybe someone who has helped you in a big way, or perhaps something you received that made life better for you. Spend a pause now to reflect on this internally, or you may write it down.
See if you can bring this state of appreciation with you in your everyday moments. Be present and mindful as you experience the moments in your life. See if you can notice the things you love and appreciate. If you found it difficult to feel that inner smile of appreciation in today's session, know that with consistent practice, it will get easier. Smell - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
This session has been brought to life by the soothing voice of Ana Moreno.
In today's gratitude practice, we will be cultivating appreciation for our ability to smell. This one sense that is often taken for granted, can add so much richness to our lives. Think of a smell you appreciate. It could be the smell of perfume on your partner or crush. Perhaps the smell of your favourite food. Maybe the smell of nature, such as the fresh salty air at the beach. Or, the smell of your favourite plant, maybe lavender or eucalyptus. What smell do you love to experience? I'll give you a period of silence now to imagine and reflect on this internally, or you may write it down.
We can appreciate how smell can protect us and alert us to dangers in our environment. It could be smelling smoke, alerting you of a fire nearby and allowing you to move away. Perhaps it is smelling the strong odour of tainted food, preventing you from eating it and getting sick. Can you appreciate a time in your life where your ability to smell helped you avoid harm? Take a pause now to appreciate this internally, or you may write it down.
Consider something you appreciate in your life today. What do you love about your life right now? What went right for you today? It could be something related to today's theme of smell. Or, it could be a small yet beautiful moment, like spending time with animals or enjoying the peace of a beautiful garden. Or perhaps it’s something more significant. Maybe someone who has helped you recently, or a specific trait about your personality that you love.
Water - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
This session has been brought to life by the soothing voice of Aman Shetty.
Let us reflect on our appreciation for something so important in our lives. Water. We can start by appreciating water's ability to cleanse anything it comes in contact with. Water has the unique ability to wash away the debris from our clothes, our kitchen dishes, our cars and our bodies. Our streets and buildings all can remain clean and refreshed after a day of rain. The cleansing ability of water is so integral to our everyday lives, without it, life would be a difficult experience. Spend a moment now reflecting on a time where water helped you cleanse something. It could be feeling refreshed from taking a cleansing shower, after a day of work in the garden. Or, maybe the feeling of pride after giving your car a wash. Spend two minutes of silence now feeling appreciation for this internally, or, you may write it down if your mind feels distracted today.
We can appreciate the unique sound of water. Water can have many sounds, and they all have one thing in common. The sounds of water tend to calm us. It could be the sound of the ocean reaching the shore. Or, the sound of a waterfall deep within a forest. Perhaps it's hearing the light trickle of a fountain in the background. Or, the gentle calm flow of a river on a sunny day. The sound of water has the unique ability to create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Spend two minutes of silence appreciating a time where the sound of water made you feel calm, or again, you may write it down.
We can be thankful for water's ability to hold temperature, be it hot or cold. That feeling of drinking a nice cold glass of water on a hot day, or after some heated and vigorous exercise. Perhaps a warm cup of tea on a cold winters day, soothing and warming our bodies. Or, maybe it is the feeling of a nice hot shower or bath. Or jumping into a cool lake or ocean on a hot and humid day. Spend some time now appreciating a time where you felt the pleasures of hot or cold water. Again, you may do this internally, or you may write it down.
Let's expand our focus and cultivate a greater sense of appreciation and love for life. Consider something you appreciate in your life today. It could be something related to today's theme of water. Or, it could be a small yet beautiful moment, like catching up with a friend or enjoying the beauty of a sunset. Or perhaps it’s something more significant. Maybe something you received that made your life easier and better, or a specific trait about you and your personality that you appreciate. Think of something specific and spend some time contemplating it now. Or, if your mind is feeling distracted today, you may write it down. Do this until that inner smile starts to surface within.
I will leave you here, wishing you a day filled with gratitude and love for life.

The Gift of Music - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
This session has been brought to life by the soothing voice of Sophia Quinn.
Let us reflect on our appreciation for the gift of music. Music has a unique way of enhancing our lives. It creates moods, transforms spaces, and stirs emotions in ways nothing else can. Think of a moment when music elevated an experience for you. Perhaps it was a song playing at just the right time, perfectly matching the beauty of a moment. Maybe it was a favourite song at a gathering that brought you joy to the dance floor. Or, maybe a melody that added warmth and meaning to a cherished moment with a loved one. Take a moment of silence now to reflect on a time when music amplified a moment for you. You can reflect on this internally, or, if you’d like, you may write it down.
We can feel our love for how music acts as a time capsule, holding memories of life’s most meaningful moments. A familiar melody can transport you to a past experience, as though you’re reliving it all over again. It might remind you of a holiday, a special celebration, or a quiet moment of connection with a loved one. Think of a song that carries you back to a cherished memory. Maybe it’s a tune that reminds you of a past love, a joyful time with friends, or an unforgettable adventure. Take a moment of silence now to reflect on this, or, you may write it down.
Let us widen our focus and expand our love for life. Consider something you appreciate in your life today. It could be a small yet beautiful moment, like catching up with a friend or enjoying a delicious breakfast in the morning. Or perhaps it’s something more significant. Maybe something you received that made your life better, or a relationship you deeply cherish. Think of something specific and spend some time contemplating it now. Or, you may write it down if you prefer. Do this until that inner smile starts to surface within.
I will leave you here, wishing you a day filled with gratitude and love for life.

Help - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
This session has been brought to life by the soothing voice of Sophia Quinn.
In today's meditation, we can be thankful for something that makes our lives that much better. Receiving help from others. It could be a time where someone helped you financially. Or, a time where someone helped you learn something new. Or, it could be where someone helped you when you were injured or sick. Can you feel grateful for a time in your life where you received help from someone and it made your life that much easier? Take a quiet moment now to reflect on this internally. Or, if you'd like, you may write it down.
Can you appreciate a time where you helped someone else and it made you feel good? It could be tipping a service worker and seeing a big smile on their face. Or maybe it was helping a child learn something new and seeing their excitement as they grasped their new skill. Take another pause to reflect on this now in your mind. Or, you may write it down.
Is there anything you appreciate in your life today? It could be something as small as visiting your favourite coffee shop in the morning, or sharing a funny moment with someone. Maybe it is something a bit more significant, like a trait about yourself and your personality that you love, or a relationship in your life you cherish. Try and think of something specific. Then spend some time contemplating it, until you start to feel that inner smile arise within. I wish you a day filled with gratitude and love for life. Good day.

Beautiful Spaces - A Guided Gratitude Meditation for Happiness, Relaxation and Sleep
This session has been brought to life by the soothing voice of Sophia Quinn.
In today's meditation we are going to appreciate all of the beautiful spaces in this world we can enjoy. Let's take a moment of silence to appreciate a well designed cafe that you just want to sit in for a while and enjoy the atmosphere. Or a beautiful home that is so aesthetically pleasing that we just want to stay at home all day. What spaces in your life do you appreciate?
Let's take another pause to appreciate how a well designed space can make us feel better. We can be on a busy crowded street feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Then we enter a beautiful cafe, library or museum, and we instantly feel a sense of calm relief as we enter and take in the beauty of the space. Can you appreciate a time that a beautiful space has made you feel better?
Let's show some gratitude for all of the talented artists who create these beautiful spaces. We can appreciate the positivity they have given us in their effort to create beauty in this world. Without them the world would be very dull. Let's pause for a moment to appreciate that another person has spent so much time creating all of this beauty so we can just relax and enjoy it.
And finally, I will leave you with an invitation to think about and feel what you personally appreciate about beautiful spaces? Or is there anything else you appreciate in your life today?
