In this week’s episode of The Strong Sunflowers, Gisselle and Zana sit down with the radiant and unstoppable Ashley Godin, founder of Making Moves with Ash—a movement-based community that blends dance, yoga, sensuality, and self-expression to help people reconnect with their bodies.
November is all about physical health and joyful movement, and Ashley brings the perfect energy to this month’s theme. She shares how a small side hustle blossomed into a life-changing brand, why dance became her pathway back to body trust, and how cultivating an alter ego (hello, Delilah Danger!) unlocked a new level of confidence and play.
Together, we explore:
Why movement is more joyful when you focus on what it feels like, not what it looks like
How sensuality in dance can help reclaim power and self-confidence
The highs and hurdles of entrepreneurship—and why community and support matter
The magic of safe spaces, belonging, and permission to show up as your whole self
This episode is equal parts inspiring, grounding, and wildly fun—especially when we get to the rapid-fire questions that show off Ashley’s vibrant spirit and love for dance.
If you’ve been craving movement that feels good, connection that fills your cup, and stories that remind you that you belong, this conversation is your sign to press play.
Sound Bites:
✨ “What did it feel like?”
✨ “You belong here.”
✨ “It’s a safe space.”
Tune in, move with us, and celebrate the power of joyful expression. 🌻💃✨
G and Z sit down with Heather Haycock, the founder and visionary behind The Heeled Method — a somatic dance workshop based in Austin, TX. Back for her second appearance, Heather brings even deeper wisdom, energy, and embodiment magic to the conversation. And the timing couldn’t be more aligned: this month, The Strong Sunflowers are in full swing with the Building to Bloom Bee Well Challenge, focusing on physical well-being and reconnecting to our bodies with intention.
In this episode, the trio explores how movement becomes medicine when we show up for ourselves physically, emotionally, and energetically. They dive into the intersection of somatic dance, physical wellbeing, emotional healing, and energy awareness, reminding us that joy and embodiment are essential parts of tending to our overall wellness—not extras.
Heather shares the origin story of The Heeled Method, a blend of dance, somatics, and energetic alignment designed to help people shake off what’s stuck, feel what’s true, and step boldly into their authentic selves. Together, they explore human design, energy as currency, and how to set boundaries with love so that our bodies—and spirits—can thrive.
This episode beautifully supports everything the Bee Well Challenge stands for: moving your body in ways that bring joy, honoring your energy, and prioritizing wellbeing one intentional step (or body roll) at a time.
Why dance is a powerful tool for physical and emotional release
How embodiment reconnects you to your body’s wisdom
The role of human design in understanding your unique energetic blueprint
How to set boundaries that protect your peace
Why authenticity supports mental and emotional wellbeing
How energy management shapes your life experiences
Why community matters on your healing journey
Why joy should be prioritized—not earned
How intentional movement supports your Bee Well journey
Whether you’re participating in the Bee Well physical wellbeing challenge or simply craving alignment and ease, this episode is a permission slip to move, feel, and bloom—joyfully and unapologetically.
Press play and let your healing begin in your body.

Aloha, Sunflowers! 🌻🌊
We just wrapped one of the most unforgettable Strong Girl Summers — and we’re taking you with us to the islands! In this episode, we’re sharing how our time in Hawaii has been beautifully different — one trip, two very unique journeys.
Zana here — back on the island I once called home. After living in Oahu for five years, this trip was emotional and nostalgic. I felt one with the ʻāina and the ocean, like I was being welcomed back by an old friend. Traveling with my kids (ages 7 to 13!) brought a mix of joy and chaos — but watching them experience the island I love made every moment worth it.
And it’s G! Living my Love Island fantasy, okay?! Solo adventures, spontaneous dates, dancing under the stars — I’ve been fully embracing Strong Girl Summer energy. This trip reminded me that freedom is sacred, and sometimes the best version of you shows up when you’re far from home.
From hiking and malasadas to family bonding and flirting by the beach, this episode is a heart-filled reflection on how one place can hold so many different kinds of magic.
So whether you’re in your motherhood era, solo queen era, or somewhere in between — we hope this convo inspires you to live your life out loud, island-style.
xoxo,
G & Z 🌺🌻
