Feel Harder, Suffer Less!

Hello Friends, Commitment: From this moment on, I joyfully promise to never give up on my goals and dreams. Avoiding your feelings in any way can lead to suffering. Whatever method you use to avoid them will determine the extent of your suffering. This could be through food, cigarettes, pornography, sex, disconnection, or leading a small life. The solution is to allow yourself to feel your emotions more deeply. Here are five ways to do this: 1) Identify the specific feeling you are experiencing. 2) Observe the feeling objectively from a higher perspective. 3) Allow the feeling to persist without distraction. 4) Evaluate how well you are regulating your emotions and how much discomfort you are willing to endure in order to better understand yourself. 5) Seek assistance in processing your emotions, such as coaching, meditation, or breathing exercises.

ACIM lesson 37: My Holiness blesses the world

I believe it’s my loving responsibility to share what I know about relationships and closeness, everything I've learned in this world. I believe that everything is as sacred as I am, and vice versa. My true purpose in life is to spread light and knowledge, so that we may all grow together. I am like a rolling snowball, collecting valuable crystals along the way and sharing them with the world. Last lesson allows you to see yourself as an expression of GOD or holiness. Now you are asked to See the world through the eyes of source or the eyes of ego. Either divided or separate or together and whole.

Loving until it hurts without losing yourself:

1)   Congratulate yourself on loving so fully and bask in the feeling that you have.  Allow those feelings until you can even quantify what it feels like in your body.  It is always great to be able to recall them when you want to feel alive and electric

2)   Embrace your independence-keep your hobbies, interests and priorities going.  Healthy relationships enhance your life and bring your authentic self.

3)   Keep your friends and support system:

5)   Practice self-care and don’t let it go by the wayside.

Stop "Should-ing" on Yourself


Lesson 36: Stop "should-ing" on yourself.  Want or need.

ACIM: lesson 35: my mind is part of god’s and I am very holy. If you envision yourself as a sacred and godlike being you will never feel separate and alone and will question those thoughts that keep us separate.

 

How to stop “Should-ing on yourself”

1)   Identify when you say the word should in your vocabulary.  Remember to look for other similar words.  “ought to, have to etc.”

2)   Decide why you want to do this action? See if it is truly your voice or the voice of family or society etc. Is this voice your own critical voice?

3)   Identify the feeling that comes with it, guilt, shame, you will notice what kind of actions are propelled with those emotions.  Notice prior results which didn’t get you to your “should” goals and identify what feeling were propelling these actions.  Acting based on negative feelings usually produce the opposite results or a short-term result accompanies with a lot of resentment, burnout and buffering behavior.  

4)   See if you can find a compelling reason that speaks to you about why you “should” be doing this habit or action. Find a more motivating feeling to propel you into this action like, determination, confidents, curiosity and fascination.

5)   Find some help to gain clarity, hire a coach, do some meditation or tapping, journal etc.

Deciding to Have a Good Time!

Hey Friends,

ACIM lesson 34:

“I could see peace instead of this” Peace of mind is an internal matter. Has to begin with your own thoughts and extend outward. It is from your peace of mind that a peaceful perception of the world arises. Sometimes feelings of depression, anxiety or worry about a situation, person, or event, gently remind yourself that you can replace those feelings with peace.

 

5 steps to deciding what kind of time you are going to have,

1. Reframe your expectations: Instead of focusing on past experiences, approach the songwriting camp with an open mind and consider it as a fresh opportunity to learn and grow as an artist. Embrace the challenge and see it as a chance to expand your creativity.

2. Understand your own mind and your thought errors: Noone cool will be there, I wasn’t going to have a good time, there isn’t enough choice, the teachers aren’t as good etc. Do a thought download, identify the thought errors and either go deeper and string the thoughts along relating them to early thoughts and hurts or decide to create a ladder thought or a slightly better feeling and just as true thought.

3. Set specific goals: Identify specific goals or skills you want to improve during the camp. By having clear objectives, you can focus your energy on achieving them and feel a sense of accomplishment, which can enhance your overall experience.

4. Embrace the possibilities: Instead of assuming that the camp won't be fun, embrace the uncertainty and see it as an opportunity for growth. New experiences often bring unexpected joys, friendships, and insights that can make the camp not only enjoyable but also transformative.

5. Do the work beforehand: Choose to approach the songwriting camp with a positive and optimistic mindset. Remind yourself that your mindset has the power to influence your experience and that a positive attitude can make any situation more enjoyable. Manage your mind and choose a just as real thought, run a tapping script.

Never Too Late! Gonna Make a Change.

Hello My Lovely Friends:

Lesson 33 in a course in Miracles- “There is another way to look at the world”-recognize that you can shift your perception of the world both inner and outer.

Visited my mother and sat with a lovely 85-year-old woman who is still smoking.  I am not dogmatic about what I believe people should do.  I live my life as an example of what is possible about achieving health and well-being whether people will come along or not is their choice. She wanted to stop because she didn’t like it anymore and was having a hard time breathing but felt like she couldn’t because it was a habit and she had been doing it for so long.  She couldn’t even imagine her identity without it. The idea of having to continue to do what you’ve always done.

Quitting for a smoker who has been smoking for 65 years:

1)   Compelling why? You will have to come up with your own very important reason why you would like to quit that means so much to you that you are willing to continue to try until you achieve your goal.

2)   Consult your future self: Ask your future self what they would like to see for you in the future.

3)   Plan in advance: Write down everything you are going to smoke 24 hours in advance and stick with it.

4)   Allow urges the way you would allow any feeling: Allow for an urge by fully feeling what it feels like in your body, visualizing size, shape, color, texture, etc.  When you have allowed an urge without responding or answering it put a marble in a jar and watch them accumulate.  Once you can allow for an urge you can do anything.

5)   Get help if you need it: Consult a medical provider, coaching, tapping

ACIM: lesson 32: I have invented the world I see.

When I join with the ego thought system, the world I invent is filled with struggle, victimhood and lack. I feel separate and alone. I feel like life is hard. Things don’t seem to go easy. It is filled with blame and guilt and tragedy. On the other hand, if I join with the Holy Spirit, the world looks very different.

Taking Charge of Your Mood: 5 Steps to Empower Yourself and take the power back to have the kind of day you want.

Have you ever noticed how one person's bad mood can affect an entire room? It's time to take control and not let anyone's negativity overpower the positivity around you. With these 5 simple steps, you can ensure that no one person's bad mood ruins the collective good vibes. Let's dive in!

1.     Understand what you are thinking.

You can’t really change anything when you don’t know what you are thinking.  So if someone is in a bad mood and then you end up in a bad mood than something might need a re-evaluation! Consider doing a thought download or at least digging for the one dominant thought

 

2.     Decide what you might want to think on purpose:

Practice using slightly better thoughts and possibly move up the thought ladder.

3.      Practice Active Listening and Empathy:

When someone is in a bad mood, make an effort to understand their feelings without getting sucked into their negativity. Practice active listening and empathy, acknowledging their emotions while maintaining your own emotional boundaries. By staying emotionally grounded, you prevent their mood from affecting yours.

 

 

4.     Lead by Example:

Be able to manage your own mind and decide your mood if you want to.  If you are a ticking time bomb waiting to explode we can’t expect others to change their mood to make us happy.

5.     Be ready to handle any feelings:

Remember feelings are sensations in your body and they won’t kill you.  Allow yourself to have them and feel them and allow that for others.

Conclusion:

Remember, you hold the power to control your own emotions and influence the emotional atmosphere around you. By following these 5 steps, you can empower yourself ensuring that no one person's bad mood overshadows the collective good mood.

Being a victim is usually replacing self-love with self-pity.  These are just crumbs of what you deserve as a human. 

The Steps to Become a Person Who is an Amazon Best Seller:

1)   Became someone who could write a book in two weeks even when you don’t believe it is perfect;

2)   Become someone who will come up with a list of people that will support you even when you think you don’t have many people,

3)   Become someone that will ask them for help even if you don’t believe that all circumstances are perfect just because they know you and the trustworthy person you are

4)   Come up with a plan that will start a few days before to remind everyone even if you believe that you are too much.

5)   Be willing to continue until you hit your goal or get the lessons you need even in the face of hard feelings and possibly even welcome them as old friends trying to protect you.

Use these steps to become the person who accomplishes big goals.

ACIM: lesson 30 God is in everything I see because God is in my mind

It is important to recognize that everyone has their own struggles and faults, and by forgiving them and seeing them as valuable individuals, we can also learn to do the same for ourselves. As a healthcare provider, I sometimes find it challenging to connect with patients who may have difficult medical histories or complex needs. However, when I choose to approach them with love, openness, and a willingness to listen, I am better able to provide them with the care and healing they need.

5 Steps to Not Betray Yourself While Still having Integrity:

1) Reflect on your values and aspirations to gain clarity on what's important to you.

2) Understand your wants and desires by consistently asking yourself what you want and being honest with yourself.

3) Remind yourself to value and respect yourself, regardless of others' expectations. Use techniques like tapping or journaling to support yourself.

4) Identify and allow yourself to experience all emotions and learn how to handle them.

5) Regardless of the outcome, choose to view every experience as either a success or lesson.

Remember, you are incredible just the way you are. Take a structured approach, focus on details, and promote a stable environment to achieve your goals with integrity. Trust yourself and offer practical solutions to any concerns. With attention to detail and patience, you can maintain harmony and dependability in your actions and thoughts.

If you approach things with an open mind, you can see them in a new light. Instead of defining them by past experiences, try to withdraw your own ideas and see the beauty and value that they hold. There is something special waiting to be discovered, full of happiness and hope. Beneath all of our preconceived notions lies the true purpose that the universe shares.

How to get anything done: Wrote a book in two weeks, feels hard to sit down and record a podcast

1)Do/Act: When embarking on new or significant endeavors, it is common to experience negative or doubtful emotions. However, it is important to make a commitment to proceed with the task regardless.

2) Feelings: Work on the feelings related to doing a new task.

3) Get ready to do B- work.

4) Schedule: Set up a very detailed schedule/obey your calendar.  If it feels too overwhelming make the tasks smaller and spread out.  All-or-nothing thinking will be too much and stop us from doing anything. Stop spending your whole day putting out fires.  Celebrate every success.

5) Support: Find people to do it with you

That Loving Feeling!

A Course In Miracles lesson 27: “Above all else I want to see” Seeing past the distress towards the light, seeing past all of our false illusions. Tired of being depressed, tired of holding resentments over petty issues.

It’s important to understand how and why things are going well instead of assuming it’s just luck. As if you tripped over the good feeling and can never get it back again. It is our brain that decides whether something is good or bad.  I was in the car the other day driving to help my friend pick up her daughter and we were stuck in traffic.

1)   I Never question my value as a human

a)    High five myself

b)   Tapping for self-love

c)    Empathy with my younger self and remember that I was always good.

2)   Go back to the young child that feels bad:

a)    Travel back with present-day confident and older self, and all of the people around me and remind the little girl that she is good, deserving of love and respect, and that everything will be ok

3)   Handle and allow feelings

a)    When emotions arise, try to observe them from an outside perspective and take note of their characteristics such as color, shape, size, and physical sensations like temperature and location in the body. Allow the feelings to happen without judgment.

b)   It’s important to keep in mind that experiencing emotions doesn't necessarily mean that something has gone wrong.

c)    Keep in mind that our emotions are connected to your thought, over which we have some level of control.

4)   Remember that thoughts are fleeting and malleable

a)    Find a better feeling or ladder thought

b)   Know what your thoughts are

c)    Do a thought download

5)   Have Fun with our thinking

a)    Instead of getting upset, try to be curious about the thoughts your brain is offering. Remember that these thoughts will come and go, but being hard on ourselves will only make the suffering worse.

b)   Find the silver lining or whatever is amusing about what you are thinking.

A Course in Miracles: lesson 26: “My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability” If I perceive vulnerability that is an attack on myself. That I am separate from my true nature and my true abilities. Attack thoughts will be projected you will fear attack.  Makes you vulnerable in your own mind. You always attack yourself first, which weakens you in your own eyes. You’ve attacked your perception of yourself and you can no longer believe in yourself.


Steps to figuring out: What is the lesson here? What am I supposed to learn? Step 1) Consider both the worst-case and best-case scenarios equally.

Step 2) Reflect on what you can learn from the situation and what the lesson is.

Step 3) Take the time to deal with any negative thoughts that arise and try to focus on more positive ones. You can try journaling, tapping, or reaching out to me for guidance.

Step 4) Come up with a plan to fix the situation, either through imagination or action.

Step 5) Rinse and Repeat.

ACIM 25 “I do not know what anything is for” If you associate every aspect of your life with your ego and societal expectations, it renders everything meaningless. However, by relinquishing the significance of certain things, you create space to discover their true purpose, your genuine wants, desires, and goals. To achieve your desired outcome, it's important to communicate effectively. Follow these steps:

Step 1) Take note of your initial response and save it for later.

Step 2) Take a moment to ground yourself and remain calm.

Step 3) Determine what result you'd like to see and identify any thoughts or emotions that may support that outcome.

Step 4) Respond with a thought that aligns with your desired result.

Step 5) Rinse and repeat.

How to stay fully present:

1)   Staying fully present in your life and not checking out early. (No control of our childhood, or what feels unbearable.

2)   Try not to buffer or numb your way through it.

3)   Check into your feelings about what is going on: unbearable angst, fear etc.

4)   Find the thought that is driving the feeling: I can’t wait to get out of here, only one month left.

5)   Consider a better feeling thought: I can do hard things, when I stay fully I can notice when I am not doing as well as I should

6)   Check in again with your feelings

ACIM lesson 23: I can escape from the world I see by giving up attack thoughts

-the world I see is coming from my thoughts and I am the image maker/projector (each of your perceptions of external reality is a pictoral representation of attack thoughts). Barrier to love closeness and connection.  Creator only creates as themselves. Friends come in pain we don’t identify with the pain but are guided by the love of the friend and give them the space to experience it and work through it.  Trust their strength in figuring it out.


Knowing your compelling why and how it will change your life:


1)   Choose something that you would like to work on but feel frustrated about

2)   Ask yourself why do I want to do this (be honest with yourself)

3)   Check in with your feelings and see what it brings up-(excitement with a little fear, a lot of fear, indifference, determination, guilt, humiliation)

4)   If the feeling is a negative one continue to ask yourself why (sometimes you can ask future self if that is something they would like to see happen.

5)   Reassess if that goal or habit has to be paid attention to and have compassion with yourself.

ACIM lesson 22

"What I see is a form of vengeance"

1.    Today’s idea accurately describes the way anyone who holds attack thoughts in his mind must see the world. ²Having projected his anger onto the world, he sees vengeance about to strike at him. ³His own attack is thus perceived as self defense. ⁴This becomes an increasingly vicious circle until he is willing to change how he sees. ⁵Otherwise, thoughts of attack and counter-attack will preoccupy him and people his entire world.


 

4 steps to stop people pleasing-

1)   Awareness: Curiously and compassionately start watching what you are doing (start building a different relationship with yourself.

2)   Thought swapping: Find a believable thought, I’m safe to help your nervous system down. Know that they are survival thoughts

3)   Curiousity what you want them to think about you, or what are you trying to avoid feeling about yourself. Underneath people pleasing is some kind of reward

4)   Pick a new intentional thought to practice in response to what you want to feel so you can feel that way.  I am a good friend in many ways even if I don’t want to go to the show.

5)   Rinse and repeat until it becomes your default method.

A Course in Miracles lesson 21: "I am determined to see things differently?

Here we are looking to not only see but consider the idea of seeing differently.

 

Say "Yes" to Joy and a big life!

No becomes a dominant voice in our heads acts like a disease shutting down our possibilities.


5 steps to making "Yes" the default setting for Joy, happiness and a big life!

 

1)   Awareness: be aware if your first inclination is a “No”. usually that is put in place to protect us from being taken advantage of us or to keep us in a dominant position so that we don’t feel like we are loosing control.

2)   Identify: the underlying thought that is causing us to say no and see if it truly related to the situation. Do thought downloads to see if you can “mine” some other dominant thoughts.

3)   Practice: saying Yes or even yes and in a brainstorming situation.

4)   ReEvaluate: what comes up when saying these words and Identify the thoughts and feelings that come up. 

5)  Enroll Help if Necessary:  Get some help in there with tapping on negative thoughts or first responses, do thought dumps or downloads, phone a friend, get some coaching.

6)   Rinse and repeat until that becomes the default.

ACIM lesson 20

“I am determined to see”

Being determined means that you are able from a very positive place to continue to try.

 

Who am I talking to. 

Figuring shit out related to the idea that I should have already figured it out.  Than staying around criticizing the fact that I hadn’t figured it out and beating yourself up for not having done it and  being upset at yourself which add to the suffering.   Happens at all ages and stages.  There is no Particular thing that should have been figured out and change is inevitable no matter what, fighting with the reality of the situation will make you lose 100% of the time. 

 5 steps to move forward even while beating yourself up for not already figuring it all out!


Decide nothing is wrong: Where there is no problem don’t create it.

 

Be curious about your thoughts and where they originally come from. Programming, society, family of origin or oppression. Don't get caught up in the blame game or who perpetrated or why it happened just be curious and understand that our pre-programmed ideas about this is not a true representation of reality.

 

Be compassionate with yourself about where you feel you need to dig deeper.

 Change the discussion with yourself from should be doing something to figuring it out, Great that your trying something new or you are open to the idea.

 

Set up your life so that you are on a path of self discovery Tapping, meditation, coaching, therapy,
