In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with John Cuturilo from the Your Listener Podcast about parenting. Raising children will always be perhaps the world's most important job, and it brings joy in to the lives of many. But it also brings with it great responsibilities, including self-regulation, discipline, patience, sacrifice, and empathy. While we may consider becoming a parent to be a natural progression for adults, too many ignore or are unaware of how easy it is to influence their children in undesirable ways that could have consequences for the rest of their adult lives. John and I discuss some of the most important (and sometimes most ignored) issues in the domain, including
the need for personal responsibility, informed choice, and conscientiousness in helping children to develop in a psychologically and physically healthy manner.

Hello beautiful people and welcome back to the 2nd episode of the Eb n Flow podcast for 2025.
I am really excited to be back in everybody’s ears and I’m very grateful for your patience over the past six months, and ongoing support of the podcast.
In today’s episode, I recap the last 6/9 months and dive into what’s been happening for me. My personal life has been an absolute whirlwind and I take you through everything from my recent vision loss through to my decision to wean off my antianxiety medication.
There’s been several change I have undergone in the last nine months. Some which were totally outside of my control and others which I intentionally welcomed into my life.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. XX

Welcome to this special collaborative episode of the Eb n Flow and Your Listener podcast, made especially for the third edition of Podcasthon in 2025. On today’s episode I am joined by John Cuturilo, owner of Your Listener Counselling and host of the Your Listener podcast, in Melbourne Australia. Podcasthon is a global not-for-profit event in which more than a thousand podcast hosts across the world will host an episode dedicated to a charity of their choice, to raise awareness. John and I have the great pleasure of dedicating this episode to Guide Dogs Australia, a charity who, in collaboration with their state- and territory-based associations, provide assistance services to blind or vision-impaired individuals, including the namesake assistance dogs. As a blind individual and ambassador for Guide Dogs Queensland, I share some insight in to the work that the charity does for the community. We encourage you to visit Guide Dog Australia's website to learn more:

Are spiritualists just hallucinating? Is living your life by science too rigid? And what exactly is manifesting, and does it have a place in scientific psychology?
In this episode, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Life Coach, John Cuturilo. John and I travel out of our comfort zones in to daring intellectual territory. Society is becoming increasingly polarised and the slightest difference between people is treated as cause for major conflict. With Intuitive Reading being considered a spiritual practice by many, and John’s practice being based in Western science, our respective philosophies often don't co-exist peacefully. But we demonstrate that having civil dialogue and exploring some of the most uncomfortable questions together isn't just possible, but a necessary part of a civil society.

On this weeks episode of the Eb n Flow Podcast, I was privileged to have a chance to sit down with the lovely Jaime Simpson.
Jaime is a mother, counsellor, author and academic in the domestic violence, religious trauma and clergy abuse space. In our conversation we talked about her experience navigating the uncharted waters of having a neuro diverse child. And assisting your children to successfully self regulate. It was through this experience that Jaime‘s book A Monster Name Zee was born. As Jamie and her family navigated big emotions like anxiety, storytelling became an integral part of soothing and educating her children on their emotions and how to regulate. Jaime talks to us all about her new book and gives great insight into co-regulating with your children, the importance of normalising feelings like anxiety and how storytelling can be such a powerful tool of healing.
This chat was so informative and is a great episode to listen to for any parents and adults in general. It’s time we remove the stigma away from our emotions and learn healthy and productive ways of self soothing and regulating ourselves. I hope you enjoy. X
